Fashion Friday- casual/ comfy

Hey everyone!

Here is fashion Friday this week. It was a super comfy outfit, and super casual. My baby is also stylin' her new carters outfit that her Nana got for her at the beach. I love the little rosettes on the cardigan, and of course, animal print pants out control ;)

Shirt/ really really short dress :) Forever 21.  Jeans- Big star. Shoes- converse

I really liked this outfit, it was totally functional for everyday, and still a little dressy. All of it, except the shoes, was thrifted. I seriously love thrift stores. I found the jeans and shirt at different times, and wear the jeans like crazy. They are so comfy. The shirt, is actually a dress I think. A short, short, clubbing kind of dress. So I made it a long shirt.I liked how it bunched at the bottom, and my fav part is the long zipper down the back. The converse are my favorite pair of shoes and are clearly well worn. I have had them since I was 17. So....9 years!! ( crazy.) They have held up pretty well, but it is time for some new ones. My favorite part is the cool texture, and black laces. They are my go to shoes. Well that is it!! Happy casual friday!

Fashion Friday- Cream, Black, and white

So here is the second fashion Friday  I am excited to reveal our new beautiful family pictures. It is the first time we have gotten pictures taken as a family (!).

Our AMAZING, WONDERFUL, TALENTED, friend Rebecca Bodily took them for us, and I am SO, SO, SO, excited about them. She really has a great eye, and did such a great job. She is also a fellow blogger. You can check out her awesomness, and lovely life HERE. She recently found out they are moving to Nauvoo for a job. I feel so bittersweet about it. I want her to be happy, but I want me to be happy too, and she makes me happy. I know I gotta let her go on to new adventures though :) ( like I really have a complete say in the choice, but if I did....) Well again, I love her, and I am so grateful for her talent, and these great pictures. It is a family fashion Friday... We are all dressed up. I made my little ones' pea coat  out of an old dress, this week for these pictures. I will share it all here later, as a DIY. ok... drum roll please......thank you Becca....you are fabulous.

My outfit:
Boots: Old Navy- Gift, Black Skinny Jeans- Rue 21- $15.00, White v-neck $4.00, Cream sweater- Worthingtons- Hand-me Down, Black scarf: Walmart, Bangles, local boutique $5.00

Happy Fashion Friday!!

Fashion Friday- Hip Hop/ Lumberjack

Fashion. It is something I am interested in but, I am really not amazing at. Since I went to school for dance, I have literally worn sweats for 4 years. Since having a baby, and adjusting to my new bod, sweats are still my go-to outfit. Also lets admit it, I am short, and def not a size 2 or even 5. So when skinny jeans came out, there was an adjustment period... I love dressing hip- hoppy and have tons and tons of stuff. The only thing is, I want to dress up and be so much more fashionable and my dance clothes are not always such. So I am going to try and be more fashionable.. haha. Every Friday I am going to try something new, and dress a little outside my comfort zone. This weeks' look is something I am going to call the Hip Hop- Lumberjack :) My baby wanted to pose too :) She is so funny.

Boots- thrifted $8.00.. Jeans- Rue 21 2/ $30.00.. White v-neck- Hanes' men's department:)/ 5 pack $10.00 ... Plaid shirt- thrifted $ 3.00...bangles- local boutique mix and match all for $9.00... eternity scarf- made from fabric bought @ Walmart $5.00 for the whole bolt, (  I made like 5 as gifts...)

This was fun, and I have only found one other way to wear these boots, which I love. The buckles on back are my fav. I also have a hard time not being too matchy -matchy with my colors, and with mixing textures. To prevent this, I put on a coral bangle,  for a small pop of color, and a leopard print bangle for a different texture..small but.. baby steps right??

Have a great weekend!
